AVN-DIO05

Dante® to Analogue Terminal Block Stereo Input & Output

The AVN-DIO05 is a Dante to analogue terminal block input & output convertor from the Sonifex DIO range. It features stereo analogue input and output on terminal block connectors and a Neutrik EtherCon® connector for direct connection to a Dante network. The superior A/D and D/A circuitry used is designed for optimal audio performance, offering >120dB of dynamic range – ten times better than comparable products. Audio and power are delivered via the EtherCON® connection, supporting PoE for simplified installation. The unit incorporates Audinate Dante chipsets and is compliant with AES67 and Dante Domain Manager.

Like all Sonifex DIO interfaces, it provides a simple plug-and-play solution for connecting analogue and digital audio equipment to Dante networks, with configuration handled via Dante Controller. It is housed in a rugged aluminium enclosure with provisions for desk mounting, and an optional accessory, AVN-DIORK, allows multiple units to be installed on a 19″ rack-mount shelf.

Product Features

  • 12 x terminal block connections (balanced stereo inputs and outputs).

  • Neutrik EtherCon® Ethernet connection.

  • Fully Dante compliant device.

  • AES67 compatible.

  • Dante Domain Manager compliant.

  • Ultra-high quality, wide dynamic range D/A conversion, >120dB.

  • Powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet).

  • 1U rack-mount option with the AVN-DIORK.

  • Aluminium construction.

Typical Applications

The AVN-DIO05 is suited to a wide range of professional audio environments where reliable, low channel count, low-latency transport between analogue and networked systems is required. It is ideal for broadcast studios, live production, events, and small fixed AV installations such as corporate, education, residential and hospitality spaces. It also integrates seamlessly into houses of worship and recording studios, providing flexible, high-quality connectivity between traditional analogue equipment and Dante-based audio networks.
