The AVN-DIO03 is a Dante AoIP network-to-headphones convertor from the Sonifex DIO range. The unit features a single stereo headphone output, accessible via both 1/4” and 3.5 mm jacks, with a front-panel potentiometer to adjust volume from mute (fully anticlockwise) to +6 dB gain (fully clockwise), useful for boosting low Dante stream levels.

A built-in limiter with adjustable threshold and LED indication protects hearing by preventing over-levels. The limit can be set between approximately -12dBu and +6dBu using a small adjustment tool. When limiting is active, the blue limit LED illuminates, prompting the user to reduce headphone volume.

Audio and power (PoE) are delivered via a Neutrik EtherCON® connector, allowing direct connection to a Dante network. The unit incorporates Audinate Dante chipsets and is compliant with AES67.

Like all Sonifex DIO interfaces, it provides a simple plug-and-play solution for connecting analogue and digital audio equipment to Dante networks, with configuration handled via Dante Controller. It is housed in a rugged aluminium enclosure with provisions for desk mounting, and an optional accessory, AVN-DIORK, is available to install multiple units on a 19″ rack-mount shelf.

Note: The headphone output of this device is unbalanced, resulting in 6 dB lower performance compared with balanced AVN-DIO products.
