The DHY-04VS VoLTE Hybrid is designed for use on cellular (mobile) networks, providing HD Voice quality bidirectional audio over 4G VoLTE. As legacy 3G and 2G services are being phased out in many regions, it offers a reliable solution for high-quality voice connectivity.

A rear-panel SIM slot and external GSM antenna connection allow the unit to make and receive calls over the cellular network. The hybrid converts the VoLTE signal into a 4-wire audio interface for direct connection to a mixing console, with auto-sensing combined analogue and AES/EBU inputs and outputs supporting sample rates up to 24-bit/96kHz. The XLR output is configurable for analogue or AES/EBU operation. It operates across multiple 4G, 3G and 2G bands, with automatic network fallback where available.

The DHY-04V is well suited to remote studios, OB vans, and mobile broadcast applications, as well as emergency scenarios where fixed telephone lines are unavailable. Automatic operation, front-panel speed-dial buttons with redial, and DTMF dial tone recognition allow simple and flexible call handling, including remote contributor access, enabling journalists to dial in securely and be put on-air automatically.

An integrated Ethernet interface provides web browser access for remote configuration and control of the unit’s settings.

In addition to the features of the DHY-04, the DHY-04VS includes front-panel indicators for SIM status and network availability, along with a push button to display mobile signal strength on the meter LEDs.

Call quality depends on network conditions and may vary during operation. Best performance is achieved with good antenna placement, particularly in fixed installations.

HD Voice is available where supported by the network and both ends of the call. On compatible 4G and 3G networks, the unit delivers enhanced wideband audio quality.
