Queen Alexandra Hospital Radio uses Sonifex S2 Mixer

QA Hospital Radio, a station that entertains patients and staff at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, has recently purchased a new S2 Mixer from Sonifex. The station manager, Gary Burnett, wanted to upgrade the station’s audio capabilities.
QA Hospital Radio, which has been broadcasting since 1970, is a non-profit organisation that provides entertainment to patients and staff at Queen Alexandra Hospital. The station broadcasts via the patient’s bedside unit and online at www.qahospitalradio.com
“I worked at Express FM in Portsmouth for 14 years, and fell in love with Sonifex desks straight away. At that point, I was determined to purchase our next desk for QA Hospital Radio, which I did in 2018,” said Gary Burnett, Station Manager. “When we were awarded a Lottery grant, my ambition was to go for an S2 Mixer this time round”.
Gary chose the Sonifex S2 Mixer for QA Hospital Radio, for its ease of use and high-quality audio capabilities. The equipment will be used to enhance the entertainment experience for patients and staff at the hospital.
What I love about Sonifex, is that it’s so easy to change the sliders when they need cleaning, no soldering is needed. And the modules are so easy to remove. The staff at Sonifex are so friendly, helpful, and if I’ve got a problem, there’s always someone I can call to help resolve it,”
