AVN-FM-DNT

8, 16, 24 or 32 Stereo Station FM Tuner to Dante

The AVN-FM-DNT brings FM radio directly onto a Dante® or AES67 audio-over-IP network, allowing 8, 16, 24 or 32 individually selectable FM stations to be received, monitored and routed as network audio sources. With dual network and PoE redundancy, remote configuration and RDS/RSSI monitoring, it provides a flexible solution for professional FM monitoring and distribution.

AVN-FM-DNT

8, 16, 24 or 32 Stereo Station FM Tuner to Dante

At a Glance

The AVN-FM-DNT provides a simple way to bring FM radio into a Dante® or AES67 audio-over-IP network. Designed for professional broadcast environments and 24/7 operation, it receives FM broadcasts and streams selected stations as low-latency Dante® audio across the AoIP network.

With a single RF input and integrated FM tuner, the AVN-FM-DNT captures 8 stations as standard, with field-upgradable licensing available for 16,24 or 32 stations. Each station is presented as a dedicated Dante® audio source, allowing individual stations to be routed to monitoring systems, recorders, consoles, workstations and other networked audio devices without the need for multiple analogue connections.

No OS Needed

The AVN-FM-DNT builds on the success of the PC-FM PCIe card, which changed the game for multichannel FM audio logging by providing 32 stereo channels from a single card. The AVN-FM-DNT takes this a step further with a dedicated hardware solution that operates without an external PC or operating system drivers.

The unit can also be installed closer to the aerial, with audio and control carried over CAT5/6 network cabling. This simplifies installation by avoiding the need to route multiple aerial feeds back to a PC.

Flexible FM Reception

The AVN-FM supports stereo or mono operation, with selectable 50 µs or 75 µs de-emphasis to suit different broadcast standards. A low-bandwidth mode is also available for noisier signals, helping maintain intelligible audio where reception conditions are less than ideal.

RF & RDS Monitoring

The built-in web interface provides RF signal strength (RSSI) monitoring and RDS decoding, with both RSSI and RDS data also available via Ember+ commands. A real-time RF spectrum display helps with antenna positioning and identifying interference or other signal issues.

Remote Configuration

Configuration and remote management are available through the built-in web interface, providing access to FM station frequencies, operating modes, network settings, licensing and other system settings, as well as firmware updates. Signal routing is managed using Dante Controller, while Ember+ provides access to RDS and RSSI information.

Power & Network Redundancy

Dual EtherCON network connections provide full data and PoE power redundancy, delivering resilient network connectivity and power for continuous operation. Audio is delivered at a fixed 48 kHz sampling rate.
